FELONIES

• Lauren Marie Knox, 26, Monroe, was charged Aug. 5 with 13 counts of obtaining a controlled substance with a fraudulent prescription. The charges stem from a weeks-long period from March 7 to April 30 when Knox used her position as an employee of Green Valley Dental to forge prescriptions for oxycodone, which she filled at pharmacies throughout Green County. Knox was caught when she asked a coworker for her login credentials to their office's computer system, which aroused the coworker's suspicions, leading to the discovery of 13 unapproved prescriptions. Knox's initial appearance is scheduled to take place Aug. 29.

• Elias Perez-Barrios, 33, and Patricio Martinez, 34, both of Monroe, were charged Monday with one count each of felony bail jumping after both failed to appear in court earlier in the year. Perez-Barrios' charge stems from his failure to appear at a preliminary hearing on Feb. 12, while Martinez' charge stems from failing to appear at a preliminary hearing on March 11. Both hearings were for charges related to the pair's involvement in cocaine trafficking. Warrants were filed for the pair's arrest.



MISDEMEANORS

• Kathleen Ellen Kemmer, 49, Beloit, was charged Monday with misdemeanor bail jumping after she was found with a blood alcohol level of .297 percent at the Crazy Horse Campground, Town of Decatur. Kemmer's consumption of alcohol was in violation of her bond from a 2015 OWI charge in Rock County. Kemmer has a pre-trial conference scheduled for Sept. 9.

• Joshua David Lemke, 43, New Glarus, was charged Aug. 3 with disorderly conduct based on a domestic disturbance that took place March 26. During the disturbance, an intoxicated Lemke engaged in a screaming altercation with a woman in the 100 block of 1st Avenue in New Glarus in the presence of three children. Lemke will next appear in court on Aug. 29 for his initial appearance.

• Christopher Michael Coite, 31, Monroe, was charged July 28 with one count of battery and two counts of disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident on July 24, when he started a fight in the Friendly Inn bar in Monroe. Coite allegedly punched a bar patron in the face unprovoked. When officers detained Coite, he struggled and repeatedly struck the partition in the squad car despite being told to stop. In addition, Coite resisted and repeatedly swore at Monroe Clinic staff while having his blood alcohol levels tested. He will appear in court for his initial appearance Aug. 15.

• Steven Robert Rowley, 51, Brodhead, was charged July 28 with three counts of bail jumping after he was found intoxicated during a domestic dispute investigation in the W900 block of Mohns Clark Road, Town of Spring Grove. Rowley was found with a blood alcohol level of .232 percent, in violation of his bonds from an April disorderly conduct charge and two April OWI cases. Rowley signed a $2,000 signature bond July 29 and has a pre-trial conference scheduled for Sept. 29.

• Hannah Laurie Johnson, 24, Albany, was charged July 26 with one count of disorderly conduct after being arrested for driving while intoxicated in the W6900 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. While being detained, Johnson became increasingly hostile towards the arresting officers until she eventually attempted to kick a nurse in the face at the Monroe Clinic. Johnson signed a $1,000 signature bond Monday and will next appear in court for a pre-trial conference Oct. 4.

• Duane A. Zoller, 48, Monticello, was charged July 25 with one count of battery and another of disorderly conduct after a verbal altercation in the 200 block of East Highland Avenue in Monticello. Zoller, who, according to a police report, was not intoxicated at the time, interrupted a family gathering by repeatedly screaming obscenities until he was told to leave, at which time he punched a woman in the side of the head. Zoller signed a $500 signature bond Monday and will next appear in court for a pre-trial conference Sept. 27.

• Chad Edward Pehl, 42, Monroe, was charged July 20 with a charge of misdemeanor bail jumping after a domestic dispute investigation on June 24. Police investigated a possible physical altercation taking place in the 400 block of West 21st Street in Monroe. It was discovered that the supposed altercation was merely friendly wrestling, but Pehl, one of the participants, was found intoxicated, in violation of his bond from a 2015 criminal damage to property charge. Pehl conceded to the charge without incident. He will next appear for a pre-trial conference Sept. 6.

• Cory Leo Bender, 23, Monroe, was charged July 20 with one count of battery and another count of disorderly conduct. The charges stem from an incident on June 18, when an intoxicated Bender attempted to enter the Murphy's Depot bar in Monroe after hours. When asked repeatedly to leave, Bender punched the bar's manager and fled the scene. Bender has a pre-trial conference scheduled for Aug. 16.

• Heather Robyn Grace Hale, 26, Monroe, was charged July 15 with one count of battery and another count of disorderly conduct. Hale's charges stem from an incident on July 13 in the 2500 block of 5th Avenue in Monroe. During a conversation with her mother, Hale became enraged and attacked her mother repeatedly, striking her about the head, scratching her and screaming obscenities. According to a police report, Hale also threatened to slit her mother's throat while she slept. Hale has a pre-trial conference scheduled for Aug. 16.
