Charlene M. Erickson, age 88 of Monroe, Wisconsin died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Monroe Manor. She was born February 26, 1925 in Browntown, WI the daughter of Edmon, Jr. and Fern (Gordee) McGuire and graduated from Monroe High School in 1942.

Charlene worked for Micro Switch in Freeport, IL, The Swiss Colony in Monroe, Gisholt (which became Gilman) Machine Company in Madison, was Secretary for district attorneys Randall Elmer and James Beer, and was clerk of court for Green County. She was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church, Women of the Moose Chapter #599, and was married for 30 years.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, Carolyn (Larry) Schafer of Monroe, Cindy (Brian) Lincoln of Monroe, Ronald McGuire of Monroe, Randy McGuire of Monroe, Rick McGuire of Dixon, IL, and Mikel (Terri) McGuire of Beloit. She was predeceased by her parents; twin sister, Arlene (Bernard) Munz; brothers, Donald (Margaret) McGuire and Burnell (Mary Ann) McGuire; niece, Carla Arn; and longtime friend, Harold Volk.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, Jan. 4 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive and N. 18th Avenue in Monroe. Burial will follow in Jordan Lutheran Cemetery, rural Browntown, WI.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home.
