BRODHEAD - Carl B. Davidson, age 86, of Brodhead, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe. He was born on May 2, 1927 in Spring Valley Township, Rock County, WI, the son of Thomas and Clara (Bern) Davidson. He married Nina May Swenson on June 20, 1952. She passed away on June 2, 2008.

Carl had worked at many farms in the area and also had worked as a mechanic for Iverson Chevrolet and Monroe Machine and Welding. He also was a truck driver for Treuthardt, A&H Inc., and the F.S. Feed-mill.

He is survived by his children; Lorraine Schwartz, Durand, IL, Susan Borgmann, Monroe, WI, Cindy (Gary) Sheldon, Brodhead, Eugene (Mary Jane) Davidson, Browntown, WI; sisters, Thelma Melquist, Rockford, IL, Gladys Georgeson, Guttenberg, IA; sister-in-law, June Neidermeier; brother-in-law, Harold (Sharon) Swenson, both of Brodhead; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law, Dennis Schwartz, sister, Signe Keen, and granddaughter, Lisa Stephens.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Online condolences may be made at www.dlnewcomerfuneralhome.com.
