Bryan G. Betthauser, 38 of Freeport, IL and formerly of Tomah died Sunday April 7, 2013 at his home. He was born August 15, 1974 to Gregory and Carol (Fish) Betthauser at Tomah Memorial Hospital. He was baptized on February 23, 1975 and confirmed on April 24, 1988 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Tomah. Bryan attended St. Paul Lutheran Grade School and was a member of the Tomah High School Graduating Class of 1992. He attended Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse, obtaining an Associates Applied Science Degree in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration. In 1999, Bryan was united in marriage to Nicole Shippy in Freeport, Ill.. He worked for Swiss Colony in Monroe, WI and was currently working for the Freeport School District in the maintenance department. Bryan was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time hunting and was so excited when his girls took an interest in hunting. He proudly shared with them his passion for hunting. He was very proud of Hannah's developing skills and very proud of Hailey's determination when they had passed hunter's safety together. Bryan played a variety of high school sports and always enjoyed a night of bowling with his co-workers and family softball games.

He is survived by his parents, Greg and Carol, of Tomah, 2 daughters, Hannah and Hailey of Monroe, his brother Brooks (Sherry) of Deerfield, his maternal grandmother Ione Fish, of Tomah, a nephew Mason, 2 nieces Rylee and Lily, a special friend, Miriam Galarza and her children, aunts and uncles, Gerry (Don) Forsythe, Donna (Don) Friedl, Mary (Danny) Shutter, David (Kim) Fish, Gerald "Boomer" (Karen) Betthauser, Gloria (Gary) Shutter, Judith DeWitt all of Tomah, Wendy (Todd) Wright of Millston, Glen Betthauser of Reedsburg, Michael (Kim) Betthauser of Lyndon Station, Cynthia (Brian) Abendschein of Hixton, many cousins, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Fish, his paternal grandparents, Alan and Arlene Betthauser and 2 uncles Doug DeWitt and Richard Gunderson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013, 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2002 County Hwy E, Warrens. Pastor Phillip M. Enderle will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E.
