Brad S. Chenous age 29 of Argyle, WI, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born February 9, 1982 in Monroe, WI, the son of Steve and Kathy (Sullivan) Chenous. Brad graduated from Argyle High School in 2000 and later from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a Bachelors in Communication. He lived in Argyle all of his life with the exception of two years in Green Bay while he worked at Lambeau Field. Brad returned to Argyle to work at Rossing's Fine Foods and paint with Martin Bredeson. He also worked in the kitchen at Turner Hall in Monroe and the Vinery Arts and Crafts Store in Madison, WI, where he learned how to make stained glass crafts. In 2011, Brad shared his talents at the Argyle Library where he read stories to the children. Most recently he worked as a courier for The Monroe Times in Monroe.
Brad is survived by his parents: Steve and Kathy Chenous of Argyle; one brother: Andrew (Johanna) Chenous and his special niece, Elena all of Argyle; his maternal grandparents: Roger and Maryellen Sullivan of rural Monroe; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Orville and Helen Chenous.
Brad was a very active member of the Argyle United Methodist Church where he volunteered as a Sunday school teacher and both youth and lay pastor. He made stained glass windows for the Argyle United Methodist Church and wrote his first children's book "Stories from Farmer Ready's." Brad will always be remembered for his love of children. He worked as an assistant coach and announcer for the Pec-Argyle Youth Football Program, and was also a volunteer for many Argyle community events such as the Argyle Fish Fry and the EMS Pancake Breakfast. Being as community oriented as Brad was, he also served on the village board. He was a trumpet player for over five years in the Monroe City Band, played taps for the Argyle Memorial Day Program, and a number of military graveside rites through the years.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 17, 2011, at 10:00 A.M. at Argyle High School Gymnasium, 14665 State Road 78 in Argyle, WI, with Pastor Randy Booth of Monroe United Methodist Church and Rev. David Michael co-officiating. Burial will be in Yellowstone Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Argyle. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Argyle High School Gymnasium and on Friday, June 17, 2011, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the gymnasium.
