Albert "Al" A. Wyss, age 32, of Fitchburg, formerly Monroe, died on Friday, January 2, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, in Madison. He was born on December 19, 1976 in Monroe, the son of Marvin and Jane (Monahan) Wyss. Al was a 1995 graduate of Monroe High School and a graduate of M.A.T.C. in Madison, majoring in photography. He worked for Seal Graphics in Sun Prairie, in quality control. Al was a huge sports fan, especially the Brewers, Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, he would fly anywhere to attend a game. Al was known to be very frugal, but enjoyed going to the dog track whenever he could. But most of all Al loved spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his parents, Marvin and Jane Wyss; paternal grandparents, Delbert and Norma Wyss; brothers, Gregory (Nicole) Wyss, Brian (Carrie) Wyss, Matthew (Adrian) Wyss; sisters, Michele (Rodney) Hesgard, Pamela Wyss, all of Monroe, Debra Wyss of Sauk City; 12 nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Rose Monahan; 3 uncles and 2 aunts.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe. Officiating will be Monsignor Thomas Campion. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe. A visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established in Al's memory.
