Albee J. "Junior" Paulson, age 62 and Sandra L. Paulson, age 54 of Monroe, Wisconsin, died in an auto accident near Hazel Green in Grant County, Wisconsin on Sunday, January 4, 2009.
Albee was born on August 5, 1946 on the Paulson Homestead in Argyle Township, Lafayette County, WI, the son of Albee E. and Ruth (Haffele) Paulson and attended Albany and Argyle area schools. He married Nancy Rasmussen on Dec. 4, 1971 in Monroe. He worked for Frito Lay, Beloit Corporation for 16 years, and was owner-operator of Paulson Trucking Company.
Sandra was born on January 9, 1954 in Monroe, the daughter of Albert and Alberta (Kubly) Heimann and graduated from Monroe High School in 1971. She received her Associate Degree from Blackhawk Technical College and married Norman Arpiainen. She was a legal secretary and presently worked as a medical transcriber for Home Entry Services. She was a former member of Peace United Church of Christ in Browntown.
Albee and Sandra were married on June 17, 1994 in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Surviving Albee are his children, Melissa (Rod DeVoll) Paulson-DeVoll of Janesville, WI, Brenda (Lee McKittrick) Kothe of South Beloit, IL, Becky (Shawn) Schiller of Haverhill, MA, and Kimberly (Justin) Luebke of Ft. Atkinson, WI; siblings, Sandra (Jim) Gilbertson of Deerfield, WI, Virginia (Daryl) Severson of Browntown, WI, and James "Jim" Finley of Monroe, WI; and grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan and MacKenzie Kothe, Dalton and Garrett DeVoll, Mariah, Keegan, and Connor Luebke, and Madeleine and Violet Schiller. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Elizabeth.
Surviving Sandra are her mother, Alberta (Delbert) Harder of South Wayne, WI; children, Tony (Deann Chapman) Arpiainen of Monroe, WI and Angie (Marc McNish) Arpiainen of Tigard, OR; siblings, John (Glenda) Heimann of Juda, WI, Robert (Cheryl) Foulker of Monroe, WI, Gerald Foulker of Madison, WI, and Sherri (Todd) Schindler of Monroe, WI; and grandchildren, America Arpiainen, Adrian and Brianna Ugalde, and Riyan Arpiainen. She was predeceased by her father.
Joint funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe, WI with Rev. Roger A. Elliott of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Beloit officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
Joint visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
