DARLINGTON — On Wednesday, Sept. 12:
• After a deputy stopped to assist citizens on West Main Street in Benton at 7:20 p.m., Katelyn M. Kasakaitas, 21, Shell Lake, was arrested and jailed on a charge of obstructing or resisting an officer. She was also cited for driving under the influence of a controlled substance (first offense), driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance, failure to display vehicle registration plate and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Jaret L. Anderson, 20, Altoona, was cited for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Benton First Response, Hazel Green EMS and the Benton Police Department assisted on scene.
• A deputy responded for a welfare check at 7:26 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.
On Thursday, Sept. 13:
• Illegal dumping was reported at 2:13 a.m. on Penny Benton Road.
• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:40 a.m. on County M, Town of Wiota.
• A deputy assisted the Darlington Police Department at 6:50 a.m. on Galena Street in Darlington.
• A deputy assisted the Darlington Police Department with livestock on the roadway at 7:54 a.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington.
• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:03 a.m. on County D, Town of Lamont.
• Deputies responded to assist a citizen at 5:01 p.m. on County O, Town of Shullsburg. Shullsburg EMS assisted on scene.
• Disorderly conduct was reported at 7:55 p.m. on South Galena Street in South Wayne.
• A deputy assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with a medical emergency at 11:30 p.m. in Green County. Argyle EMS assisted on scene.
On Friday, Sept. 14:
• An animal problem was reported at 3:18 p.m. on Oak Grove Lane, Town of Willow Springs.
• A deputy assisted the Darlington Police Department at 6:15 p.m. on Fayette Road in Darlington.
• Brandi K. Coggon, 21, Muscoda, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 6:28 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.
• Rion T.R. Rayfield, 30, Salem, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 6:50 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.
• Scott J. Williams, 29, Cuba City, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 8:52 p.m. to a domestic dispute on Dry Bone Road, Town of New Diggings. Williams was booked at the jail and later posted bond and was released to a responsible party. The Shullsburg and Cuba City Police Departments assisted on scene.
On Saturday, Sept. 15:
• A deputy assisted the Darlington Police Department at 4:42 a.m. on Ravine Street in Darlington.
• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:39 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.
• A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 11:45 a.m. on West Liberty Street, Town of Belmont.
• A traffic complaint was reported at 6:07 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.
• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:49 p.m. on South Galena Road, Town of Elk Grove.
• Alan W. Meckely, 41, Dodgeville, was cited for speeding at 8:03 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.
• Jason J. Gill, 47, Dixon, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 11:43 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.
On Sunday, Sept. 16:
• Tamara J. Ihus, 54, Shullsburg, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 12:04 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington. She was taken to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, where she was released to a responsible party.
• Justin L. Johnson, 32, Argyle, was arrested on a Green County warrant after a deputy assisted Darlington police with an wanted person case at 1:12 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington. Johnson was transported to Green County.
• Paige P. Hohlstein, 23, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 1:27 a.m. on Galena Street in Darlington. She was taken to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, where she was released to a responsible party.
• A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 2:12 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.
• A deputy responded to assist a motorist at 2:35 a.m. on County U, Town of White Oak Springs.
• A deputy responded for a welfare check at 9 a.m. on County G, Town of Argyle.
• A deputy responded for a 911 misdial at 9:14 a.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.
• An injured deer was reported at 12:39 a.m. on Andrews Road, Town of Wayne.
• Harassment was reported at 4:43 p.m. on West Estey Street in Shullsburg.
• A traffic hazard was reported at 6:30 p.m. on Lake Road, Town of Argyle.
• A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 9 p.m. on Lake Road, Town of Fayette.
• Criminal damage to property was reported at 9:19 p.m. on East South Street in South Wayne.
• Jaime A. Flores-Mendes, 25, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance at 10:22 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — On Saturday, Sept. 15:
• Emily M.S. Jones, 23, South Wayne, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol after deputies stopped at 1:59 a.m. to check on a vehicle that was pulled over to the side of the road in the W9000 block of County B, Town of Cadiz. Jones was also cited for operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and driving with a suspended license. She was released pending court.
• Jermaine D. Greer, 42, Madison, was arrested on a warrant issued through the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation during a traffic stop at 9:05 a.m. in the N7200 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. He was jailed pending extradition to Iowa. He was also cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license.
On Sunday, Sept. 16:
• Rory S. Privett, 25, Brodhead, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol after deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at 3:25 a.m. in the 1100 block of Wis. 69 in Monroe. He was also cited for operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, speeding and driving without a license (second offense within three years). He was released pending court.
New Glarus Police
NEW GLARUS — On Monday, Sept. 10:
• Police had a towing service remove an abandoned vehicle in the 200 block of 5th Avenue at 4:22 p.m., after citations were issued and it was not moved for a week.
• A person making alleged suicidal statements at 6:23 p.m. on 2nd Street was referred to and spoke with a crisis worker. The social worker deemed no other action needed to be taken.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11:
• Barry A. Weitz, 73, Chicago, was cited for urinating in public at 11:56 a.m. in Village Park.
• A found cat was reported at 6:23 p.m. in the 1600 block of 2nd Street. An owner could not be identified. The cat was taken to the Green County Humane Society.
• A found backpack, bag and computer were reported at 6:35 p.m. in the 1500 block of 2nd Street. The owner was located and the property tuned over to him.
• Police found a sign lying in the grass in the 10 block of 5th Avenue at 12:21 p.m. The sign was put back up.
On Wednesday, Sept. 12:
• Police found a vehicle’s trunk open at 12:50 a.m. in the 900 block of 9th Avenue. The trunk was closed.
• Police removed a tree branch from the roadway at 1:01 a.m. in the 600 block of 7th Street.
• Police received a complaint at 8:10 a.m. of a vehicle parked in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue that not been moved for several weeks.
• Police were dispatched to a medical call at 8:13 a.m. in the 700 block of 2nd Avenue.
• Police removed a hazard from the roadway at 2:01 p.m. in the 900 block of Wis. 69.
• Suspicious activity was reported at 8:04 p.m. in the 700 block of 14th Avenue. Everything checked out to be fine.
On Thursday, Sept. 13:
• Police were dispatched to a medical call at 11:42 a.m. in the 1100 block of 2nd Street.
• Police removed a hazard in the middle of the roadway at 12:06 p.m. in the 700 block of 1st Street.
• A juvenile was cited for tobacco possession after police investigated the offense at 1 p.m. in the 1600 block of 2nd Street.
• Police responded to a medical call at 2:51 p.m. in the 1600 block of 2nd Street.
• Police investigated suspicious circumstances at 9:58 p.m. in the 10 block of 1st Street. It was found to be an individual working late on a project.
On Friday, Sept. 14:
• Police responded to a 911 call at 5:04 p.m. in the 800 block of Wis. 69. The call was deemed a misdial. No emergency was found.
• Police reported a dead animal in the roadway in the 500 block of 5th Avenue to the Public Works Department at 5:30 p.m. for removal.
• Harassment was reported at 6:37 p.m in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue.
On Saturday, Sept. 15:
• Bo Gerald Hutchison, 23, Beloit, was cited for failure to yield right of way after police responded at 1:01 p.m. to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the 10 block of 4th Avenue.
• Two dogs locked in a vehicle and overheating were reported at 2:08 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. Upon investigation, it was clear that the dogs were fine and their owner was doing their due diligence to meet the dogs’ needs.
• Police were requested for a medical call at 5:17 p.m in the 700 block of 2nd Avenue.
• Police were requested for a medical call at 5:55 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue.
• Suspicious activity was reported at 9:52 p.m. in the 1700 block of 2nd Street.
On Sunday, Sept. 16:
• Taylor J. Disch, 23, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a revoked license after police stopped a vehicle for a registration violation at 7:10 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.
• Police responded for a medical call at 7:26 p.m. in the 700 block of Wis. 69.
Monroe Police
MONROE — On Sunday, Sept. 9:
• Stacy N. Heitz, 32, Janesville, was arrested on first-offense charges of operating while intoxicated and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration following a traffic stop at about 1 a.m. in the 1300 block of 19th Street. She was released to a responsible person pending court.
• Alicia D. Parr, 27, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an officer on patrol heard someone screaming at 2:25 a.m. outside a gas station in the 700 block of 8th Avenue. Parr was reportedly yelling at some people who didn’t even know her, then yelled at officers and physically struggled during her arrest. She was jailed pending court.
• Kenneth H. Kopplin, 47, Monroe, was cited for disorderly conduct after neighbors in an apartment complex in the 700 block of 12th Avenue reported at 5:21 p.m. that he was arguing loudly, using curse words and scaring children with his yelling. On Thursday, Sept. 13:
• Karessa J. Patterson, 35, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping after police responded to a traffic complaint at 10:55 p.m. of a vehicle being driven on a flat tire in the 2900 block of 10th Street. Officers located the suspect vehicle parked in the 2700 block of 9th Street. Patterson was a passenger in the vehicle and found to be in violation of a court-ordered bond condition that she not consume alcohol. She was jailed.
On Saturday, Sept. 15:
• Trevor W. Aurand, 18, Lena, Noah J. Trumpy, 18, Winslow, and Noah L. Ugalde, 17, Lena, were cited for underage possession and consumption of alcohol at 12:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of 17th Avenue.
• Jamie S. Glowacki, 34, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant at 11:44 p.m. in the 2100 block of 14th Avenue.
Darlington Police
DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Sept. 13:
• Emanuel V. Lopez, 31, Darlington, was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign at 4:24 p.m. on East Ann Street.
• Logan D. Crooks, 22, Monticello, was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and driving without vehicle insurance at 4:38 p.m. on East Louisa Street.
On Saturday, Sept. 15:
• Luis M. Hernandez, 25, North Aurora, Illinois, was cited for speeding at about 12:50 a.m. on Wis. 23.
• Kevin P. Miess, 52, Dodgeville, was cited for speeding at about 1:05 p.m. on Wis. 23.
• Elizabeth J. Paige, 31, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 10:13 p.m. on Fayette Road.
On Sunday, Sept. 16:
• Justin L. Johnson, 32, Argyle, was arrested following police contact at about 1:15 a.m. at Trailside Bar, 301 Main St., on a warrant issued by Green County.
• Felipe Utrera-Aguilar, 24, Darlington, was arrested following police contact at about 1:30 a.m. at Trailside Bar on a warrant issued by Lafayette County.
