Monroe Police

MONROE — On March 9: 

●  A Monroe man with a warrant was reported at 2:26 p.m. in the 1200 block of 12th Avenue. Frederick S. Neuenschwander, 54, was arrested after confirming warrant. He was jailed. 

●  A female smashing windows was reported at 11:55 p.m. in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Jazmin M. Jackson, 22, Milwaukee, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, criminal damage of property and possession of THC and drug paraphernalia. She was jailed. A passenger, Kaycee R. Peters, 24, Milwaukee, was arrested on a charge of possession of cocaine. She was cited for possession of open intoxicants in vehicle. She was jailed.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Jose M. Baldivia Robles, 40, Monroe, was cited for driving without a license, his third offense, at 7:38 p.m. March 5 in the 300 block of 27th Street. 

●  A disturbance was reported at 11:59 a.m. March 6 in the W1900 block of Town Center Road, Town of Spring Grove. Derek L. Klingaman, 40, Juda, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was released after posting bond. 

On March 9: 

●  Mark H. Elmer, 45, Browntown, was arrested on a probation hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 3:27 p.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. He was jailed. 

●  Kristin M. Brickson, 28, Brodhead, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating under the influence of alcohol at 8:29 p.m. in the W700 block of Mohns Clark Road, Town of Spring Grove following a report of a vehicle in the ditch. She was cited for driving after revocation. She was released pending court. Brodhead police assisted.


Monticello Police 

MONTICELLO —  On Feb. 27: 

●  Property was found at 3:24 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. Property was returned to owner. 

●  A 911 call was reported at 4 p.m. in the 500 block of East Lake Avenue. Everything was okay. 

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 8:15 a.m. Feb. 28 in the 500 block of East Lake Avenue. Police removed item. 

On March 1: 

●  A large item in the roadway was reported at 8:48 a.m. in the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue. The item was removed. 

●  A littering complaint was reported at 9:02 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 9:38 a.m. in the 300 block of South Garfield Street. This was civil in nature. No action taken. 

●  A vehicle crash was reported at 12:51 p.m. It was found to have occurred in a different jurisdiction. Referred to appropriate jurisdiction to file report. 

On March 2: 

●  Police assisted with a vehicle unlock at 8:13 a.m. in the 300 block of Summit Avenue. 

●  Police assisted with a vehicle registration at 2:59 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

On March 3: 

●  a 911 call with no location given was reported at 4 p.m. in the 100 block of East Highland Avenue. Police found no one needing assistance. 

●  A 911 call was reported at 6:26 p.m. in the 400 block of Greenview Avenue. It was found that a child was playing with the phone and was no emergency. 

On March 4: 

●  A civil matter was reported at 10:35 a.m. in the 300 block of South Garfield Street. 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 2:29 p.m. A citizen requested extra markings be placed at certain locations to better warn motorists of children crossing. 

●  A 911 call was reported at 6:39 p.m. in the 500 block of Summit Avenue. It was found that a child was playing with the phone and was no emergency. 

On March 5: 

●  Police assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office with a disabled vehicle at 1:41 p.m. in the N6300 block of Wis. 69. Police remained until vehicle was removed. 

●  A 911 call was reported at 2:43 p.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Street. Everything was okay. 

●  A fraudulent phone call was reported at 4:21 p.m. in the 500 block of East Park Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  Police assisted with traffic control at 9:15 p.m. for Monticello First Response


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD— On Feb. 22: 

●  A parking citation was issued at 3:25 a.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street, at 8:12 a.m. in the 1900 block of West 5th Avenue and at 9:20 p.m. in the 700 block of East 2nd Avenue for a vehicle in violation of the city’s winter parking ordinance. 

●  Truancy was reported at 9:27 a.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street. Parents were notified and subject was taken to school. 

●  A Brodhead man, 80, was cited for non-registration of auto at 5:01 p.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

On Feb. 23: 

●  A parking citation was issued at 5:22 a.m. and at 5:27 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue for a vehicle in violation of the city’s winter parking ordinance. 

●  A Rockford man, 27, was cited for operating without a valid license and speeding at 9:27 a.m. in the 200 block of East 4th Avenue. 

●  A West Allis man, 72, was cited for speeding at 11:17 a.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue. 

On Feb. 24: 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 1 a.m. in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue. Officers found nothing suspicious. 

●  A Fitchburg woman, 32, was cited for theft at 8:05 a.m. in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue. 

●  Cans in the roadway was reported at 12:46 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Officers removed them. 

●  A traffic crash was reported at 1:50 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. No citations were issued. It was non-reportable. 

●  Dogs barking was reported at 5:47 p.m. in the 1100 block of 14th Street. 

On Feb. 5: 

●  A person sleeping in vehicle on the street was reported at 4:27 p.m. in the 100 block of 3rd Street. It was an Amazon driver on break. 

●  Yelling was reported at 7:19 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. It was someone who had fallen out of a chair. 

●  Fraud was reported at 7:37 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. This remains under investigation. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:44 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. Officers found nothing suspicious. 

On Feb. 26: 

●  A Freeport man, 49, was cited for speeding in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

●  A garbage can removed from property was reported at 11:28 a.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue. A warning was issued and property was returned. 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 11:42 a.m. in the 900 block of 25th Street. Police found no violation. 

On Feb. 27: 

●  Harassment involving harassing messages through social media was reported at 10:28 a.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. Subject was using false identity. 

●  Harassment was reported at 3:32 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street. A warning was issued. 

●  A domestic problem was reported at 5:05 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. Matter was resolved. 

●  An animal at large was reported at 5:44 p.m. Prior to police arrival the dog returned to owner.

●  For the week of Feb. 28 to March 6, police performed 24 security checks, 33 citizen assists, nine assists of other agencies, 14 follow-ups to incidents, 14 vehicle registration and six traffic stops; responded to 33 calls for service and reported five EMS calls, 11 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and three fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Feb. 28: 

●  A traffic crash was reported at 1:49 p.m. in the 1200 block of 16th Street. No citations were issued. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 7:31 p.m. in the 900 block of 10th Street. Police found nothing suspicious. 

On March 1: 

●  An alarm was reported at 6:08 a.m. in the 700 block of Green Street. It was found that the alarm was pulled accidentally. 

●  A Brodhead woman, 64, was cited for inattentive driving at 11:24 a.m. in the 500 block of 23rd Street. 

●  A dog at large was reported at 3:33 p.m. in the 800 block of 15th Street. A verbal warning was issued. 

●  A Janesville woman, 26, was cited for driving after revocation at 8:56 p.m. in the 900 block of 21st Street. 

●  A dog at large was reported at 7:50 a.m. March 2 in the 1600 block of 20th Street. The dog returned. 

●  A Brodhead woman, 41, was cited for driving after suspension at 12:12 p.m. March 3 in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

●  A bowling ball in the roadway was reported at 3:14 p.m. March 4 in the 1100 block of 21st Street. Officers removed the ball. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:27 a.m. March 5 in the 1200 block of 11th Street. Police found nothing suspicious. 

On March 6: 

●  A Brodhead woman, 28, was arrested for operating while intoxicated at 1:41 a.m. in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue. 

●  Theft was reported at 8:42 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation.
