Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of May 31-June 6, police performed 31 security checks, 28 citizen assists, 15 assists of other agencies, seven follow-ups to incidents, 21 vehicle registrations and two traffic stops; responded to 14 calls for service and reported eight EMS calls, 15 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On June 1:

●  A Monroe man, 33, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 5:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On June 2:

●  An injured opossum was reported at 7:48 a.m. in the N100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources assisted and took the joeys to a rehabilitation center.

●  A Buxton, North Dakota woman, 41, was cited for inattentive driving at 9:25 a.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue following a traffic crash.

●  A Rochelle, Illinois man, 29, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 5:36 p.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A Freeport woman, 25, was cited for disorderly conduct at 6:28 p.m. in the 300 block of 23rd Street.

On June 3:

●  A Fargo, North Dakota woman, 40, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and with a prohibited blood-alcohol content at 11:44 p.m. in the 300 block of East 9th Avenue.

On June 4:

●  A Belleville man, 24, was cited for theft at 9:09 a.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On June 5:

●  Fraud involving fraudulent items received in the mail was reported at 5:22 p.m. in the 1300 block of West 4th Avenue. Police gave the complainant the appropriate information regarding how to report the incident.

●  A cat running at large was reported at 7:50 p.m. in the 500 block of 9th Street. The matter remained under investigation pending owner contact.

On June 6:

●  An alcohol offense involving a vehicle parked in the roadway was reported at 12:05 a.m. in the 1500 block of East 2nd Avenue. It remained under investigation.

●  A Brodhead man, 26, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated, operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol content, no vehicle insurance, unsafe lane deviation and possession of marijuana at 3:26 a.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A person operating a go-kart was reported at 3:32 p.m. in the 1100 block of 11th Street (Pearl Island Corridor). The subject left prior to an officer’s arrival.

●  A dog at large was reported at 8 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. The owner was warned.

●  Police were called at 10:02 p.m. to check the welfare of a possibly intoxicated person pushing a stroller in the 900 block of West 2nd Avenue. The subject was not located.


Monroe Police 

MONROE — Jayden J. G. Rodriguez, 18, Monroe, was arrested on a Green County warrant at 8:37 p.m. June 4 at a residence in the 1200 block of 9th Street. He was jailed pending court. The warrant was related to a felony case filed the same day in Green County Circuit Court alleging Rodriguez failed on two occasions to update his info with a sex offender registry, both counts as a second or subsequent offense.

●  A 911 caller reported a fight outside a tavern in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 2:05 a.m. June 5. A couple and a third party were involved in a physical altercation during which one person got kicked in the face and another got slapped. An ambulance responded to the scene. No one was arrested. Police referred the case to the District Attorney’s Office for possible charges.

On June 7:

●  Darwin D. Williams, 62, Monroe, was arrested at 12:31 a.m. following a traffic stop in the 1300 block of 17th Street. He was charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated and operating without headlights. He was released to a responsible person pending court.

●  Bryce M. Messerli, 26, Monroe, was arrested at 2:37 a.m. following a traffic stop in the 1800 block of 16th Avenue. He was charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated and cited for driving with a revoked license and possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released to a responsible person pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Tyler S. Bollig, 36, Belleville, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at 10:57 p.m. June 4 at a residence in the N9200 block of County D, Town of Exeter. Bollig was transported to the jail and later released after posting bond. Belleville and New Glarus police assisted on scene.

●  Brandy Payne-Armendarez, 42, Argyle, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while impaired after deputies responded to a 12:55 p.m. complaint of a red truck speeding into New Glarus on Wis. 69. Deputies observed the truck going 84 mph in a 55 mph zone, stopped it and identified Payne-Armendarez as the driver. She was also cited for speeding, passing in a no-passing zone and passing into oncoming traffic. She was jailed pending bond or court.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On May 25:

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 4:07 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Wiota.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 6:13 a.m. on Hillcrest Road, Town of Argyle. A UTV ran over a mailbox overnight.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 8:47 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Darlington police assisted a deputy.

●  Bryan M. Paielli, 29, Kenosha, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt while riding or operating on a recreation trail at 9:35 a.m. on East Ann Street in Darlington.

●  A possible violation of a no-contact order was reported at 9:38 a.m. on Wildcat Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Dami T. Dauphin, 44, Sillman Valley, Illinois, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt while riding or operating on a recreation trail at 9:49 a.m. on East Ann Street in Darlington.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 5:56 p.m. on County J, Town of Benton.

●  Alan J. Liphart, 36, Darlington, was arrested by Darlington police on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant at 6:12 p.m. and transported to the jail, where he remained in custody.

●  Kimberly E. Monsoor, 18, Onalaska, was cited for operating left of center, no vehicle insurance, displaying unauthorized vehicle registration plates and driving as a permittee without an authorized person over the age of 21 at 7:14 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour. Her passenger, Jesse A. Baum, 24, Bangor, was cited for permitting an unauthorized person to drive.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 7:57 p.m. on North Lake Road, Town of Blanchard.

●  Robert J. Folgate, 20, Dakota, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 9:11 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.

On May 26:

●  Trespassing was reported at 8:53 a.m. on County M, Town of Wiota. The complaint came from a business that did not wish to have a former employee on the premises and asked that the offense be documented and explained to the offender.

●  An orange UTV trespassing on a landowner’s property causing ruts in the yard was reported at 9:53 a.m. on Wildcat Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded 10:15 a.m. to East Milwaukee Street in Argyle to assist with traffic control.

●  A deputy responded at 10:22 a.m. to West High Street in Shullsburg to assist Shullsburg police with a suspicious activity complaint.

●  A person making a threat to injure was reported at 1:08 p.m. on Mayer Road, Town of Wayne.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 1:17 p.m. on Pleasant Drive Road, Town of Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 1:53 p.m. on Hidden Valley Lane, Town of Argyle.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 2:26 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 4:28 p.m. on West Wisconsin Avenue in Belmont.

●  Joseph E. LaDow, 78, South Wayne, was cited for trespassing after a deputy responded at 5:21 p.m. to Wis. 11 in South Wayne for a trespassing complaint from a neighbor. LaDow claimed he was on his neighbor’s property “by mistake.” The property dispute between the neighbors has been ongoing for a year and a half. Deputies repeatedly tried to get them to resolve their issues on their own without enforcement action.

●  Sidney D. Poole, 49, Fort Worth, Texas, was cited for speeding at 5:41 p.m. on County O, Town of Seymour.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 7:59 p.m. on East Main Street in Benton.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:21 p.m. on Meier Road, Town of Wayne.

●  Zachary D. Puls, 16, Cuba City, was cited for speeding at 10:18 p.m. on Blackhawk Road, Town of Monticello.

On May 27:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:14 a.m. on County W, Town of Benton.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:46 a.m. on Buncombe Road, Town of Benton.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:47 a.m. on Edison Road, Town of Benton.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 11:45 a.m. on County B, Town of Belmont.

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 12:06 p.m. at the intersection of Wis. 23 and Roper Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Illegal dumping was reported at 2:32 p.m. on Apple Grove Church Road, Town of Argyle. A TV and some furniture had been dumped in the ditch. The township called in the complaint.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 3:02 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Aaron J. Hendrickson, 19, Dodgeville, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 8:25 p.m. on River Road, Town of Argyle.

●  A civil dispute over a fence damaged by a lawn mower was reported at 8:43 p.m. at County W and Walker Road, Town of Gratiot.

On May 28:

●  A deputy responded at 8:58 a.m. to Wis. 81, Town of Argyle, to assist Lafayette County Human Services.

●  A vehicle lockout was reported at 11:53 a.m. on Village Road, Town of Gratiot.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 4:22 p.m. on West Mound View Avenue in Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 4:37 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 4:56 p.m. on County W, Town of Benton.

●  Donald T. D. Pitman, 21, Albany, was cited for no vehicle insurance, failure to obey signal and display of an unauthorized vehicle registration plate at 7:22 p.m. on County D, Town of Wayne.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 10:59 p.m. at Wis. 11 and County KK, Town of Gratiot.

On May 29:

●  A deputy responded to keep the peace at 7:29 a.m. on School Street in Gratiot.

●  Tayler J. Goodyear, 27, Beloit, was cited for possession of THC at 2:36 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.

●  Cody L. Chandler, 28, Platteville, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after a deputy responded to check welfare at 3:29 p.m. on North Mound Avenue in Belmont. He was booked at the jail, posted bond and was later released.

●  An ATV complaint was reported at 4:44 p.m. on the Cheese Country Trail in Calamine, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy responded at 10:40 p.m. to Main Street in Darlington to assist Darlington police with a traffic stop.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 11:12 p.m. on East Center Street in South Wayne.

●  Megan M. Molitor, 19, Stockton, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 11:39 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

On May 30:

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 3:27 a.m. on County KK, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded at 10:02 a.m. to County K in Darlington to assist Darlington police with traffic control.

●  A deputy responded at 10:47 a.m. to Ballard Road, Town of Willow Springs, for a citizens’ assist.

●  Deputies responded at 2:46 p.m. to Red Rock Road, Town of Darlington, for an ATV complaint. Darlington police assisted on scene.

●  A deputy responded at 5:11 p.m. to West Cornelia Street in Darlington to assist Darlington police with a 911 misdial.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 5:45 p.m. on Lake Road, Town of Blanchard.

●  Kevin J. Kieler, 32, Cuba City, was cited for speeding on an ATV at 6:38 p.m. on County O, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  A hit-and-run to a guard rail was reported at 6:55 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs. As a result, Elizabeth Hernandez-Hernandez, 27, Darlington, was cited for first-offense operating while under the influence, speeding, driving without a valid license, no vehicle insurance, hit-and-run, failure to obey a traffic officer signal and possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. She was released to a responsible party. Darlington police assisted on scene.
