Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1, police performed 22 security checks, 25 citizen assists, eight assists of other agencies, 13 vehicle registrations and eight follow-ups to incidents; responded to 23 calls for service, six EMS calls, one fire call and five 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 16 traffic stops. There was one mental health transport and no detox transports.

On Sunday, Nov. 25:

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 10:24 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The driver was contacted and the matter was resolved.

●  A dog at large was reported at 3:59 p.m. in the 700 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was warned.

On Tuesday, Nov. 27:

●  A Brodhead man, 18, was cited for non-registration of an auto at 3:23 p.m. in the 1200 block of 25th Street.

●  Damage to a residential door was reported at 3:59 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 11:16 p.m. in the 300 block of East 8th Avenue. The subjects were causing a disturbance. Police made contact, and the matter was resolved.

On Wednesday, Nov. 28:

●  A dog at large was reported at 11:57 a.m. in the 1400 block of West 4th Avenue. The dog was returned to its owner.

On Thursday, Nov. 29:

●  A Brodhead man, 63, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:58 pm. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. He was also cited for deviation from designated lane.

On Friday, Nov. 30:

●  Harassment involving unwanted phone calls was reported at 8:46 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street.

On Saturday, Dec. 1:

●  A Brodhead man, 34, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 6:35 p.m. in the 300 block of 1st Center Avenue.


Monroe Police

MONROE — On Saturday, Dec. 1:

●  Raul Morelos Campos, 25, Brodhead, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after officers stopped him at 2:48 a.m. at 18th Avenue and 6th Street. He was was unable to locate a responsible person to be released to and was held at the Green County Jail until no longer intoxicated, as required by Wisconsin law.

●  Christopher P. Tackett, 33, Monroe, was arrested after officers responded at 8:24 p.m. to a phone call reporting domestic abuse in the 2500 block of 6th Street. When officers arrived on scene, Tackett attempted to drive away. He was charged with operating while intoxicated and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, as well as disorderly conduct and battery under Wisconsin’s domestic abuse laws. He was jailed pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Patrick H. Roper, 43, Belleville, was arrested on a felony charge of burglary and misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property after deputies investigated a residential burglary reported in the N8900 block of White Street, Town of Exeter, at 1:44 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. He was jailed pending court. The Belleville Police Department assisted in the investigation.

DARLINGTON — On Monday, Nov. 26:

●  A noise complaint was reported at 4:31 a.m. on Wildcat Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A noise complaint was reported at 6:14 a.m. on East Milwaukee Street Argyle.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 12:54 p.m. on Buncombe Road, Town of Benton.

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 3:18 p.m. on County H, Town of Benton.

●  A deputy responded to assist the Blanchardville Police Department with a welfare check at 4:19 p.m. on East Hill Street in Blanchardville.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 6:22 p.m. on Noble Street in Gratiot.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 10:11 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

●  Laura L. Gundlach, 50, Shullsburg, was cited for driving with a suspended license, no vehicle insurance and loud exhaust, as well as having a cracked windshield, at 11:13 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello.

On Tuesday, Nov. 27:

●  A deputy responded to assist the Darlington Police Department with a lift assist at 12:42 a.m. on Main Street.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:10 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  Deputies responded to assist the Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic dispute at 6:19 a.m. on 14th Street in Hazel Green.

●  An ATV complaint was reported at 7:26 a.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 10:05 a.m. on County D, Town of Wayne.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 10:54 a.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

●  A theft was reported at 12:12 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.

●  Deputies responded at 12:36 p.m. to Washington Street in Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department with a lift assist.

●  Troy J. Schoenrock, 51, Palmyra, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at an uncontrolled intersection at 2:04 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Gratiot.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4:42 p.m. on Holland Road, Town of Kendall.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 5:23 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  Megan C. McGrain, 30, Antioch, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 5:52 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  Steven R. Bartelt, 70, Winslow, was cited for having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle at 6:44 p.m. on State Line Road, Town of Wayne.

●  A utility pole leaning over the roadway was reported at 10:39 a.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 10:54 a.m. on Lancaster Road, Town of Lamont.

●  A deputy responded to keep the peace at 11:59 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 11:59 a.m. on Doyle Lane, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded at 1:43 p.m. to unlock a vehicle on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. The Darlington Police Department assisted on scene.

●  A hit-and-run was reported at 5:34 p.m. on County I, Town of New Diggings.

●  A suspicious person was reported at 8:41 p.m. on County KK, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded for a welfare check at 10:33 p.m. at Southwest Health Center in Grant County. The Platteville Police Department assisted on scene.

On Sunday, Dec. 2:

●  Corey L. Seffrood, 37, South Wayne, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and battery after deputies responded at 12:41 a.m. to a report of disorder conduct on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. Seffrood was transported to the jail and later released to a responsible party.

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 7:59 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  A vehicle being driven on the ATV trail was reported at 9:40 a.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 10:09 a.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

●  Marissa L. Heim, 23, Benton, was arrested on charges of bail jumping, battery and domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct after a deputy responded to a domestic dispute at 11:14 a.m. on Galena Street in Benton. She was jailed. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted on scene.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 4:22 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  Donald W. Gilbertson, 52, Winslow, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 8:20 p.m. on County D, Town of Wayne.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:05 p.m. on County W, Town of Benton.
