MONROE — Bradley A. Armitage, 35, Monroe, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and battery under Wisconsin Domestic Violence Laws in the 300 block of 5th Street at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, after officers investigated a disturbance in the 500 block of 3rd Avenue. He was also arrested on a Lafayette County warrant for failure to appear in a child support case. He was jailed pending court.
● William R. Ellison, 28, Monroe, was arrested on charges of firearm theft, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon and resisting or obstructing an officer at 2:13 a.m. Friday, April 24, in the 900 block of 20th Avenue. He was jailed. In Green County Circuit Court the same day, his cash bond was set at $1,000 and his signature bond at $9,000, with conditions that he have no contact with a residence in the 2000 block of 11th Street.

MONROE — A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:58 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, in the W3000 block of Wis. 11, Town of Jefferson. Investigation resulted in deputies arresting Curtis L. Curry Jr., 24, Albany, during a traffic stop on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct. He was also cited for driving without a valid license. He was jailed pending court or posting of bond.
Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of April 19-25, police performed 30 security checks, 28 citizen assists, five assists of other agencies, eight follow-ups to incidents, 12 vehicle registrations and four traffic stops; responded to 22 calls for service and reported eight EMS calls and 12 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls. No fire calls and no mental health or detox transports were reported.
On Sunday, April 19:
● A runaway was reported at 6:38 a.m. in the 1200 block of West 3rd Avenue. The juvenile was located and returned home.
● Illegal burning was reported at 1:03 p.m. in the N400 block of East 2nd Avenue. Police issued a warning.
● A Brodhead man, 21, was cited for disorderly conduct at 9:29 p.m. in the 300 block of 14th Street.
On Monday, April 20:
● A dog at large was reported at 12:04 a.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was warned.
● Chickens that had strayed onto someone’s property were reported at 12:48 p.m. in the 1100 block of 19th Street. The owner of the chickens was warned.
● A traffic hazard of a car port blowing down the street was reported at 5:28 p.m. in the 1400 block of 20th Street. The item was turned over to the Brodhead Streets and Sanitation Department.
On Tuesday, April 21:
● A code violation involving a refrigerator sitting outside was reported at 5:25 a.m. in the 1400 block of West 4th Avenue.
● A traffic crash involving a vehicle backing into a parked vehicle was reported at 3:23 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. As this occurred on private property, no citations were issued.
● A parking citation was issued for a vehicle parked left of center facing traffic at 11:51 p.m. in the 600 block of East 6th Avenue.
On Wednesday, April 22:
● A Palantine, Illinois man, 51, was arrested for driving with a suspended license and hit-and-run on property adjacent to a highway at 7:15 a.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● Subjects causing a disturbance around a property were reported at 5:42 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street. They were gone upon an officer’s arrival.
● A Durand, Illinois woman, 22, was cited for speeding at 6:52 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
On Thursday, April 23:
● A suspicious vehicle was reported at 3:53 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The vehicle was not located.
● Disorderly conduct was reported at 11:48 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. A verbal warning was issued.
● Police were advised of an animal complaint at 12:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. Contact was made, and it was determined there was no complaint.
● Police responded to check welfare at 6:54 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 2nd Avenue. The subject had returned home and was fine.
● Police responded to check welfare at 9:50 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. The subjects’ phone had died.
On Friday, April 24:
● A vehicle parked on the sidewalk was reported at 8:35 a.m. in the 1300 block of 21st Street. Police made contact, and the vehicle was moved.
● Trespassing was reported at 7:38 p.m. the 300 block of 4th Street.
● A driver running stop lights was reported at 11:29 p.m. in the 1800 block of East 3rd Avenue.
On Saturday, April 25:
● Vandalism involving a broken window was reported at 9:49 p.m. in the 600 block of East 9th Avenue; and at 9:56 p.m. in the 600 block of 16th Street. Both incidents remained under investigation.

● A concerned caller at 12:46 p.m. reported seeing a man walking along the side of the road on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. The man claimed to be homeless and on his way to Dubuque. A deputy drove him to the Grant County line.
● A traffic complaint was reported at 1:03 p.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall.

● An animal injured on the roadway was reported at 2:08 a.m. on County F, Town of Darlington.
● Deputies responded to assist Belmont police with a welfare check at 3:23 a.m. on Hazel Street in Belmont.
● A civil dispute involving property lines was reported at 10:32 a.m. on Mine Road, Town of Benton.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 10:35 a.m. on School Street, Town of Gratiot.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 6:24 p.m. to Locust Street in Blanchardville. Blanchardville police assisted.
● An animal bite was reported at 7:27 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Benton.
On Saturday, April 4:
● Deputies responded at 4:47 a.m. to South McKnight Street in South Wayne to assist Monroe police with a domestic abuse case that occurred in Monroe.
● A civil dispute over property was reported at 11:14 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.
● A child was reported missing at 11:16 a.m. from Bennett Road, Town of Benton. Hazel Green EMS, the Benton Fire Department and Benton First Response assisted deputies in the search. The child was located and unharmed.
● Criminal damage to property was reported at 11:59 a.m. on County F, Town of Darlington.
● A deputy responded to assist with unlocking a vehicle at 2:48 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 4:11 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont. The complaint was unfounded.
● Jake M. Finn, 28, Hartfort, was cited for speeding at 4:14 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings.
On Sunday, April 5:
● A deputy encountered a disabled vehicle at 11:02 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont.
● Criminal damage to property was reported at 11:20 a.m. at a farm on County G, Town of Belmont. A mailbox had been run over the previous night.
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12:40 p.m. on Mount Pleasant Road, Town of Willow Springs.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 4:23 p.m. on Windy Point Road, Town of Benton.
● A deputy encountered a disabled vehicle at 4:55 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings.
● Deputies responded to check welfare at 6:06 p.m. on Martin Road, Town of Monticello.
● A missing person was reported at 7:50 p.m. in the Darlington area. It was a man out canoeing who entered the Pecatonica River at Calamine and was expected to get out just south of Crist Lane, however he did not show up. A search crew located him in the river with no apparent injuries, just cold and wet. His canoe had overturned. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The Darlington Fire Department, Darlington police and Green County EMS of Darlington assisted deputies in the search and rescue.
● An animal problem was reported at 7:51 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.
On Monday, April 6:
● Juan D. Zubiate, 24, Rockford, Illinois, was cited for speeding and driving with no valid license and no proof of vehicle insurance at 7:20 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 12:54 p.m. on Ames Branch Road, Town of Shullsburg.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 5:44 p.m. on Sunrise Court in Belmont.
● A deputy on patrol at 6:34 p.m. came across an Illinois man digging up dirt in a ditch off State Line Road, Town of Wayne. The man was filling up buckets of dirt to take home to use in his own yard and claimed he had permission. He dumped out the dirt and was released.
● A disabled vehicle was reported at 6:41 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.
● A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 6:44 p.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard.
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:07 p.m. on County F, Town of Darlington.
On Tuesday, April 7:
● Deputies responded at 3:28 a.m. to North Mound Avenue in Belmont for an alarm.
● Vandalism to a homemade sign was reported at 10:49 a.m. at County G and Furnace Hill Road, Town of Willow Springs. A property owner complained that someone overnight had spray-painted over a sign he has on a plywood fence. The incident is related to an ongoing neighbor dispute.
● A disabled vehicle was reported at 7:50 p.m. on Red Rock Road, Town of Darlington.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:25 p.m. on Bennett Road, Town of New Diggings.
On Wednesday, April 8:
● A deputy responded at 3:22 a.m. to Fayette Road, Town of Darlington, for a medical emergency. Darlington police assisted on scene.
● An animal injured in the roadway was reported at 4:09 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne.
● A civil dispute was reported at 6:51 a.m. on Sunny Lane, Town of Belmont.
● A traffic complaint was reported at 7:01 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.
● A person sleeping in a parked vehicle was reported at 10:38 a.m. on Sheldon Street in Gratiot. The Illinois driver told the responding deputy he had stopped to rest on his way to Dodgeville. He was checked for impairment and found to be not impaired.
● A civil dispute was reported at 11:40 a.m. on Ferndale Road, Town of Willow Springs.
● A suspicious silver Jeep was reported at 12:56 p.m. on East Grove Street in South Wayne. The caller had seen it in the area on several recent afternoons, and the plates don’t match the vehicle. It was not located. She was advised to call again if she sees it.
● Deputies responded to check welfare at 12:58 p.m. on Jenkynsville Road, Town of Benton.
● Jeffrey A. Kintzle, 44, Epworth, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 6:01 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.
● Jeremy J. Rutherford, 41, Shullsburg, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 7:13 p.m. on County I, Town of New Diggings.
● A domestic dispute was reported at 8:09 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont. Belmont police assisted on scene.
● A traffic hazard was reported at 10:15 p.m. on County D, Town of Wiota.
On Thursday, April 9:
● Littering was reported at 1:34 p.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Belmont. A resident reported his security camera caught a person throwing a Mountain Dew bottle into his yard and he suspected it was a neighbor with whom he has a history of problems. Deputies reviewed the security camera footage and found it did not definitively show how the bottle got into the yard.
● Chase S. Lee, 26, Lancaster, was cited for speeding at 5:08 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:45 p.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle.
On Friday, April 10:
● Deputies responded to provide traffic control at 11:46 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.
● Deputies responded at 2:45 p.m. to Blake Street in Blanchardville to assist Middleton police in attempting to locate a person. As a result, Jerimiah M. Jenson, 29, Middleton, was arrested on a warrant and transferred to the custody of Middleton police.
● A deputy and Blanchardville police responded at 5:33 p.m. to Wis. 78, Town of Blanchard, for a traffic complaint.
● Deputies assisted Blanchardville police with an ordinance violation at 6:53 p.m. on West Olson Street in Blanchardville.
