MONROE — Green County deputies have arrested and charged a Monroe man with his 7th operating while under the influence charge, following a reported crash of his motorcycle Saturday night.
According to the Green County Sheriff’s office, the ordeal began just before 7:45 p.m. when they received a report — along with Albany Police — of a one-vehicle, hit and run crash involving a motorcycle.
The reported crash occurred at the intersection of South Main Street and Lake Avenue in the Village of Monticello; while the traffic stop happened at the intersection of County Highway EE and County Highway E, in the Town of Albany, police said.
“Investigation resulted in the operator, Eric D. Pallesen, 57 of Monroe, being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol — 7th Offense and Operating with Prohibited Alcohol Concentration — 7th Offense,” Green County deputies said in a statement. “Eric was jailed pending his initial court appearance.”
According to court records, Pallesen pleaded guilty to his sixth OWI charge in 2017.
