BRODHEAD — A Beloit man was arrested after pointing a gun at another patron in a Brodhead bar early Sunday morning.
On Sunday, Dec. 4, at approximately 1:41 a.m., Brodhead police were dispatched to disturbance between two men in a bar in the 1100 block of 1st Center Ave. Police interviewed witnesses who reported during the disturbance a male pointed a handgun at the other male, than proceeded to leave the bar.
Through investigation, police were able to identify the man who pointed the gun at the patron during the disturbance as Clayton Schultz, 22, of Beloit. Police also determined Schultz had given the gun involved to another party. Police were able to recover the gun in the City of Beloit.
Police arrested Schultz on Wednesday, Dec. 7, and booked him into the Green County Sheriff’s Jail on charges of second degree recklessly endangering safety, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, and disorderly conduct.
Though the exact cause of the disturbance was not determined, alcohol was a contributing factor. No one was injured in the incident.
Brodhead Police were assisted by the Green County Sheriff’s Office, City of Beloit Police Department and the Janesville Police Department.
