MONROE - Visions of Switzerland provided inspiration for the 100th anniversary Green County Cheese Days button design created by McKenzie Homan, Albany.
Homan did some general research about Switzerland to get ideas for the button, but it was her grandmother's vacation photos of the Swiss Alps that provided inspiration for the image.
"My goal was to do something special and memorable in honor of the 100th anniversary," said Homan, who works as a graphic designer at RBS in Argyle. "I also wanted the design to have a vintage feel."
A native of Juda, Homan is a graduate of Madison Business College with a degree in graphic design and illustration. In her position at RBS, she designs logos, business cards, signs, branded merchandise, and apparel for high school sports teams throughout the area.
Cheese Days buttons are available for sale at the Green County Tourism office on the second floor of the Green County Courthouse and das Baumhaus, Monroe. The Cheese Days store on the lower level of the Courthouse will be open with limited hours for holiday shopping in December.
