Candidates line up for area school board seats

Local ballots will see a slate of candidates, both incumbents and newcomers, running for spots on area school boards.

Here's a listing of who is running:



Brodhead

Brodhead will see three candidates running for three positions. Incumbents Jim Wahl and Michael Oellerich, along with newcomer Dan Calhoun, will be on the ballot. James Flister is not seeking re-election.



Juda

Two seats are open for the Juda school board. Incumbent Patrick Daniels is seeking re-election and is joined by Sue Trotter on the ballot. Jen Brooks is not seeking re-election.



Albany

There are two seats up on the April ballot. Both incumbents Becky Mather and Wayne Mueller are seeking re-election.



New Glarus

New Glarus has four seats up for election, with only two people running. Incumbents Paul Eichelkraut and Jerry Landmark are seeking re-election. Brett Welhouse and Jonathan Sheridan are not seeking re-election; no one filed papers to run for the open spots.



Monticello

In Monticello, there are two spots open for school board. Trinia Zanow and Tim Bruns, both incumbents, are running unopposed.



Argyle

There are six candidates seeking election to four spots on the Argyle school board. Newcomers Karolyn R. Carter, Gregory Heath Isely, Peter G. Herman and Ismael Hinojosa are running, along with incumbents Julie Ostby and Keith Ritschard. The board is expanding from a five-person board to a seven-board person.



Black Hawk

Incumbent Steve Holland and newcomer Carl Huschitt are on the ballot for two spots on the school board. Dustin Williams is not seeking re-election.



Darlington

Darlington will have three seats up for election on the April ballot. Running are Duane M. Jorgenson and Nicholas J. Zuberbuhler, both incumbents, and newcomers Bob Hermanson, Joe Schilling and Donna Jean Wiegel. Judine Huntington is not seeking re-election.
