MADISON — The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) today released the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey data for the month of January 2022.
In brief, the JOLTS data for Wisconsin showed:
● Wisconsin hires decreased by 9,000 over the month to 116,000. Hires also decreased over the month in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota.
● Job openings in Wisconsin increased slightly over the month to 220,000. Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota also had increases in openings over the month.
● Wisconsin quits decreased over the month from 90,000 to 71,000. The United States, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota all posted monthly declines.
