SOUTH WAYNE — Two South Wayne residents were jailed on drug charges and four others face potential drug charges after three adults overdosed inside a West Grove Street home early April 29, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff's Office.

Samuel M. Krebs, 31, formerly of Monroe and more recently of Forest Junction, faces charges of delivering heroin, recklessly endangering safety and maintaining a drug dwelling. He also had several warrants out for his arrest.

William M. Osbaugh, 25, faces charges of delivering cocaine, possessing cocaine and possessing drug paraphernalia.

State court records show no criminal history for Osbaugh, but Krebs has a history of convictions going back nearly a decade, including thefts and a burglary in the Monroe area in 2011 to support a heroin addiction. Krebs has pending felony cases in Manitowoc County and Ozaukee County alleging retail theft, bail jumping, delivery of heroin and delivery of fentanyl.

Krebs and Osbaugh have been living together at 501 S. Galena St. in South Wayne, according to Sheriff Reg Gill.

Police got search warrants for their residence as well as a trailer home around the corner at 305 W. Grove St. after three people were found pulseless and not breathing inside the trailer in the early morning hours of April 29.

A 911 caller at 2:39 a.m. alerted authorities to the situation.

First responders pulled the three people out of the home in case their condition was "the result of an environmental condition within the house trailer," Gill wrote in a news release. Then, believing the three may have overdosed on an opiate, first responders administered the opioid reversal drug Narcan.

The three patients were revived and awake by the time ambulances got them to Monroe Clinic, said Green County EMS Chief Dan Nufer.

The 911 call came from a phone belonging to one of the overdosed people, Gill said, adding that it wasn't clear if "he actually placed the call" or if someone else had used his phone.

Four other South Wayne residents face potential charges as a result of the search warrants and investigation into the overdoses.

Charges are being referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney's Office for Shayna N. Krebs, 23, for maintaining a drug dwelling; Corey Lee Seffrood, 39, for delivery of cocaine; and Donald E. Surrell, 57, and Betty R. Surrell, 53, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Green County Sheriff's Office and Monroe Police Department assisted Lafayette County detectives in the investigation.
