MONROE — Monroe Clinic and Hospital has made changes to its visitor policy that will go into effect starting Dec. 9.
Included are the suspension of hospital visits at Monroe Clinic. Visitors over 18 years of age may still be allowed in the following circumstances:
● Compassionate care exceptions may be made in end-of-life situations or when a visitor is essential for the patient’s emotional well-being and care.
● Family Birth/Women’s Center patients will be allowed one support person for the duration of their stay, with permission of the Administrative Supervisor.
● Pediatric patients will be allowed one visitor per stay, with permission of the Administrative Supervisor.
If a visitor is allowed, then the following must be followed:
● Visitors must bring their own food, beverages and comfort items, as movement throughout the building is not allowed.
● Visitors may only enter the building one time per day. Once a visitor leaves, they will not be permitted to return until the following day.
● Visitors will be asked to complete a health screening, inclusive of temperature, prior to entering their facilities.
● Visitors are always required to maintain social distancing and cover their nose and mouth with a face covering while on-site. This is without exception.
● Anyone with a positive exposure to COVID-19 or elevated temperature will not be allowed entry without approval by Administrative Supervisor.
