The Young Americans 4H club had a very busy May filled with events.  We completed two community service projects, cleaning the bike trail and planting flowers at Pleasant View Nursing Home, and held a food stand fundraiser at Farm & Fleet.

During our May meeting, held May 8th, we met at a park shelter located by Bike Haus.  Our club split up into groups and picked up trash along the bike trail.  After the clean-up, we held our meeting and had a pizza party.

On May 16th, club members met at Pleasant View Nursing Home and planted flowers for the residents of the facility.  The flowers and raised flower beds were provided to the youth who then worked to plant the variety of flowers.

On May 20th, club members took shifts to cover our Farm & Fleet food stand.  We had brat and hot dog meals for sale which included a drink, bag of chips and a homemade dessert.  The food and supplies were donated by members of the club.  The youth took turns serving the food, carrying signs to advertise and completed set up and cleanup of the stand.  The weather was beautiful, and the area was busy with patrons.  A great time was had by all!

Our next club meeting will be held June 12th and we will be using this time to prepare for the 2023 Green County Fair.
