BELMONT - Pre-registration for the Heart of the Farm - Women in Agriculture conference is due Jan. 13. The conference will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, at the Belmont Convention Center, located just off Wisconsin 151 (Exit 26) on West Mound View Avenue.
Heart of the Farm - Women in Agriculture workshop series is a UW-Extension program that is committed to addressing the needs of farm women by providing education on farm business topics, connecting them with agricultural resources and creating support networks.
Topics for the Belmont workshop include:
• Farm tax update - Judy Nelson, EA, senior tax consultant, Badgerland Financial, Dodgeville and Darlington
• Farm financial record keeping and payroll record keeping - Julie Pluemer, CPA, Vaassen Pluemer CPAs, LLC.
