Wells elected Section 5 State FFA officer

MONROE - Logan Wells of the Monroe FFA chapter was elected as the 2012-13 Section 5 State FFA Officer during the 83rd Wisconsin FFA Convention.

Wells is the son of Kevin and Chris Wells, Monroe. Carmen Montgomery is his adviser.

During his year as a state FFA Officer, Wells will meet thousands of FFA members and travel more than 10,000 miles. In addition to meeting with member on the local, state and national levels, the entire state officer team will meet with leaders in government, education, business and agriculture.

Wells is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison and majoring in forest science. Wells has won the National FFA Forest Management Proficiency Area and received a National Gold ranking in agricultural sales.

As an FFA member, Wells traveled to Costa Rica with the National Ag Exchange seminar, participated in National FFA Convention, been involved in numerous local activities, served as a chapter officer and is a State Star Finalist in Agribusiness. He participated in career development events including meats, wildlife, national land judging, parliamentary procedure, job interview and creed speaking.
