UW-Extension Green County welcomes two additional Regional Agriculture Educators
Jordyn Sattler
Kimberly Kester

MONROE — UW-Extension Green County recently announced two new hires. Jordyn Sattler has been hired as the Regional Crops and Soils Educator and Kimberly Kester has been hired as the Regional Livestock Educator for the counties of Grant, Green, Iowa and Lafayette Counties.

Sattler graduated from UW-Platteville in 2013 as a double major in Agricultural Education (Non-Teaching) and Soil & Crop Science with a Plant Breeding and Genetics emphasis. Since then, she has spent most of her time working as a retail sales agronomist in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

In a press release, she is excited to start meeting with local producers and providing resources and information that will help farms achieve their individual goals.

Sattler looks forward to providing research-based education for farmers on crops and soils questions. For more information, contact Sattler at 608-228-0208 or email Jordyn.sattler@wisc.edu. She can also be reached at the Extension Green County office at 608-328-9440.

Kester graduated from UW-Madison in 2014 with a double major in Dairy Science and Poultry Science. After graduation she worked as a bull herdsman for Accelerated Genetics in Westby. In 2017, she moved to Georgia where she was a county agriculture agent for over six years, with much of her work focusing on beef heifer development, small ruminants, beekeeping, and tobacco. She recently moved back to Wisconsin to start her new role.

“I am happy to be back and can’t wait to meet livestock producers in the area,” Kester said.

For more information, contact Kester at 608-228-5400 or email kimberly.kester@wisc.edu. She can also be reached at the Extension Lafayette County office at 608-776-4820.
