Marian and Harold Trumpy of rural Winslow, Ill, will mark their 70th wedding anniversary on Dec. 21, 2011. They were married Dec. 21, 1941 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe. Officiating was Rev. Paul Kahle.
In 1944, Harold and Marian moved to a dairy farm outside of Winslow, where they still reside. The couple have four children: Marcia Bidlingmaier Saalsaa, deceased in 1990; Jeffrey (Jean) Trumpy of Waukesha; Penny Kodrich of Minneapolis and John (Lori) Trumpy of Winslow. In addition to their children, they have 10 grandchildren. They have eight great-grandchildren with the ninth expected in June.
The couple's children are planning an anniversary celebration for the family at the Ludlow Inn in Monroe.
