MONROE - On Sunday, Nov. 16, The Green County Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Chapter is holding their 2009 Chapter elections at the following participating churches; Adams Lutheran (rural Argyle), Albany Lutheran (Albany), Bethlehem Lutheran (Brodhead), Grace Lutheran (Monroe), Jordan Lutheran (rural Browntown), Mt. Olive Lutheran (Monroe), Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran (New Glarus), St. Peter Lutheran (Brodhead), and York Memorial Lutheran (rural Blanchardville).
All Thrivent Financial Benefit or Associate members, age 16 and over, are encouraged to vote for the nominees of their choice. Eligible voters will vote for five required board positions and five optional board positions. Chapter elections are held every year with the chapter membership nominating candidates to serve on the board.
An elected Chapter Leadership Board member serves for one year. The 2009 elected Green County Thrivent Leadership board will take office Jan. 1.
