MONROE - Neighborhood Health Partners is hosting a sexually transmitted disease/sexually transmitted infection testing clinic from 5 to 7 p.m. April 5 at its location in Monroe, 1017 17th St.
Anyone is welcome to visit the walk-in clinic without an appointment to get tested at little to no cost.
The testing process consists of a vaginal swab for women and a urine test for men. Most U.S. citizens who are between the ages of 15 and 65, have been residents of Wisconsin for at least 30 days, have an individual income of approximately $3,000/month or less, and are not currently on Medicaid qualify for the Family Planning Only Services, which will cover all the basic testing at no cost. For those who do not meet the criteria for FPOS, the clinic offers a sliding fee scale based on income for the testing.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Those who are unable to attend the clinic may schedule an appointment at 608-328-9500, as the clinic provides this service during normal business hours with a scheduled appointment.
