All events are open to the public. Worship times are 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Youth

Sunday School at St. John’s invites children to an interesting and exciting way to learn the Bible through our program called BLAST, or Bible

Learning Activity Stations. Activities include movies, music, computers, art and crafts. BLAST begins with children at age 3 and continues through sixth grade.

All are welcome; we would love to have your children in BLAST!

Teens

Classes for those in grade seven through high school seniors are held in the youth room in the new addition to the church. The Bible topics are of special interest to age groups.

Adults

Two choices offered for adult Bible class this fall:

1. “End Times” This topical study led by Mick McClain will focus on the end times and help participants answer the big question, “Are you ready?” Using group discussion format, this study will help clear up confusion about the End Times and covers topics like: When will Christ return?; What about Heaven?; Is hell for real? ; What about a new Heaven and a new Earth?

Also, it will address the fate of modern day Israel.

2. “Cross Training” will be led by Pastor Rick. Athletes involved in cross-training engage in a variety of skills that exercise different muscle groups. Practice may involve jogging long distances, lifting weights, calisthenics or running sprints. This varied training regimen enables them to be at their best for competition.

As followers of Jesus, we are involved in a different kind of cross-training. Jesus said, “If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23) In this Bible study we will look at five characteristics we display in our lives as we follow in the footsteps of Jesus. We will see how Jesus displayed each characteristic and what it looks like in action in our lives.
