MONROE — SSM Health Monroe Hospital recently presented National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Green County with a donation of $2,500. The gift will support NAMI Green County’s work to offer education, support and advocacy for those affected by mental illness.
“Serving our community’s health needs beyond the care provided in our clinics is central to our Mission and is critical to the health of our community,” shared Katie Marti, SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group Director of Primary Care Services. “Together with organizations like NAMI Green County we can help to improve mental health resources in our area.”
“Not only are we so very appreciative of the size of this wonderful donation and the impact we can make in this community, but more so the importance of being recognized by SSM Health as a nonprofit that has made great strides in the last 15 years in Green County to help educate, advocate for and support those with a mental illness along with their families,” said Conni Bigler, Treasurer of NAMI Green County.
