MONROE - The Streets and Sanitation Department has begun hauling mulch to the parking lot by the band shell in Twining Park. Mulch will be hauled to this site as time and weather permits.
Only city of Monroe residents may get mulch from this location. The mulch is not meant to be hauled away with bucket-type equipment, such as a skid steer, endloader, tractor with bucket, etc.
Delivery of a 5-yard load of mulch is available to Monroe residents for a $25 fee payable in advance at the street dept. or at the city treasurer's office at city hall. To place an order, call 329-2490 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
