APPLE RIVER - A benefit for Ryan Smith will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Apple River Stagecoach Event Center, 446 E. Hickory Street.
Tickets are available at the door for $8.50, with a pulled pork dinner by Wally that will begin at 4:30 p.m. A cash bar will be available.
A live auction will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a euchre tournament for $20 per team with prizes.
Smith is a self-employed construction worker who suffered a serious back injury after a fall earlier this summer. He is returning home from a four-month stay at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago following a roofing accident. Proceeds from this benefit will help offset medical expenses, home modifications, temporary loss of income and continuing costs of rehabilitation. An account has been established at the Apple River State Bank, 103 N. Main.
