MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department will be holding an all day coed slowpitch tournament and an all day coed volleyball tournament on Saturday, July 4, at Twining Park.
The coed slowpitch tournament will be held on Saturday, July 4. The type of tournament (round robin, double elimination, single elimination with consolation) will depend on the number of teams signed up for the tournament. The divisions will be divided by A/B, B/C and High School.
Teams will be in the tournament when their roster and entry fee has been turned into the Park and Recreation Department. The entry fee is $100 per team. Prizes will be determined by the amount of teams in each division. In the past the first place team received T-shirts and pizza coupons and the second place team received pizza coupons.
For the coed volleyball tournament, the number of divisions will be determined by the number of teams and the type of tournament (round robin, pool play, etc) again will depend on how many teams are signed up for the tournament. Teams can play with three guys and two gals if the team is short players.
