Monroe — The Lower Sugar River Watershed Association presentation of “Seasons of the Sugar River: Mirrored Landscape Flora and Fauna of the Prairie” will be on exhibit in the Frehner Gallery at the Monroe Arts Center from Friday, January 6, 2023 through Friday, March 10, 2023. This exhibition seeks to showcase the scenic landscapes of the Sugar River Watershed from the headwater’s region in western Dane County to the lower basin where the river confluences with the Pecatonica River in Northern Illinois
Local and regional artists have been encouraged through this juried art exhibit to explore, reinterprete, and expand their vision of the Sugar River Valley and the rich, productive landscapes of Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois that surround the river and its tributary streams, all of which form our watershed.
This exhibit is available to view at the Monroe Arts Center Tuesday through Friday 10:00am-5:00pm, and Saturdays 10:00am-2:00pm. For more information, visit monroeartscenter.com or call 608-325-5700.
