MONROE - The fourth annual Ride for a Cure fundraiser for the American Cancer Society is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 24. This is a "shot gun" start. Pick out your own route, only four stops needed. Start at any bar listed and get your stamp sheet at first stop. All vehicles welcome, $10 per person, pay at last stop. Last bike in 4 p.m. at Poopy's in Savanna, Ill. Lots of door prizes, top three prizes are: first, $300 tattoo; second, digital camera; and third, $50 cash. There is also a 50/50 drawing. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Area participating bars include: Ludlow's, Monroe; The Other Place, Orangeville; The Other Bar, Davis; Iron Horse, Lena; Smiley's, Warren; Bottle Shed, Stockton.
