MONROE - The Monroe Woman's Club will host a tailgate party Oct. 14 in the banquet room at the Turner Hall.
The social hour will begin at 5 p.m. Tickets for the chance drawings of the many donated baskets can be purchased. A welcome from President Kim Markham will be held at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be served. A live and silent auctions will also be held.
This is the Woman's Club's main fundraiser and has allowed the club to contribute to the Green County Historical Society, Monroe High School prom, Monroe Arts Center capital campaign, Monroe Clinic and Hospital Foundation Hospice home, Monroe EMS capital campaign, Monroe Library youth program, Monroe Main Street, Salvation Army, and Veterans Park and other community projects.
