MONROE — The discussion of the challenges and benefits of parenting in a digital age will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 at United Methodist Church, 2227 4th Street, Monroe.
Keynote speaker, Laura Stephenson, PhD, is a mother, educator and parent advocate. Her research focuses on the role of media in the home, with an emphasis on parents and parental mediation. She will give tools to empower parents to smoothly navigate the ever-changing “Digital Age.”
Registration begins at 5 p.m. and the speaker will begin at 5:40 p.m.
Unplug and connect with other parents of elementary and middle school children at this free event. Resources will be available. Pizza and snacks will be served. No registration is necessary.
