MONROE - Entrepreneurs, business owners, elected officials and community members are invited to an open house to celebrate the grand opening of the Enterprise Center from 5 to 7 p.m. April 19 at Blackhawk Technical College, 210 4th Avenue.
Guests may enter through the north door of BTC, across from Alp & Dell Cheese Store.
The Enterprise Center is a partnership between BTC and Green County Development Corporation. The center evolved after BTC President Tracy Pierner approached GCDC with a proposal to use the north end of Monroe's BTC campus as a business development center.
BTC revitalized the 2,850-square-foot facility and today the Enterprise Center is a dedicated, flexible-use space that can serve many different purposes for entrepreneurs and small business owners. The center includes board rooms, a seminar room and conference rooms that are equipped with the latest technology and high-speed internet.
The Enterprise Center has room for business owners to work one-on-one with GCDC's free, confidential business consultants or their own clients; host presentations for small groups and high-level meetings; attend business development seminars; and more.
The open house will include tours of the newly-repurposed space. Partners will be available to discuss how GCDC and its partners work together to strengthen businesses in Green County. In addition, the Enterprise Center will host a rotating art display by the Driftless Area Artists. GCDC, a multi-jurisdictional economic development corporation, was formed to bring professional economic development expertise to its member communities to create a competitive advantage to spur job creation and new investments. The organization is building the economic future of Green County communities and businesses through public-private partnerships.
