‘Munchkin Mondays’ program has openings

MONROE — The Monroe Parks and Recreation “Munchkin Mondays” program will begin in October.  This one day program for children age 3 to 5 has six sessions held during the holidays that fall from Halloween to St. Patrick’s Day. This indoor program includes: arts and crafts, games, stories and free time to enhance listening skills, group play and making new friends.  October program will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Union Presbyterian Church unless the Parks and Rec department has moved back into City Hall.  Parents will be notified of location.  

There is a limit of 20 children per class for 6 Holiday classes:

  Monday, Oct. 29 — Halloween Fun 

♦  Monday, Nov. 12 — Goblins & Turkeys

♦  Monday, Dec. 10 — Singing Elves

♦  Monday, Jan. 21 — Little Snowmen  

♦  Monday, Feb. 4 — Our Little Sweethearts

♦  Monday, March 18 — Lucky Leprechauns
