MONTICELLO - The Monticello Chamber of Commerce will host a spring village-wide garage sale on May 15 and May 16.
Times may vary to the individual holding the garage sale; the chamber is planning for the garage sales to end at about 1 p.m. May 16. To register for the garage sales, visit Monticello Village Hall. Maps will be available at village hall, Gempeler's Supermarket, Greenwoods State Bank and Francois Citgo Station.
There will be an Easter Seals truck to receive donations from 2 to 4 p.m. May 16 by the fire station.
Monticello's Spring Fling 2015 will also be held. The Monticello Fire department is having its annual pig roast at the Fire Station from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 with live music from Andy Yaun. There will also be the Monticello 4-H flower sale and Lioness Nut sale, and the chamber invited those who have participated in past Lioness Craft shows, along with local small businesses, to attend from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. near the fire station.
Community Club is having its annual ball games. Live music will start at 1 p.m., and there will be a beer garden. The Monticello Lions will have its shelter house open for its hand-dipped cheese curds and mushrooms, as well as nonalcoholic beverages.
The first Spring Fling Car, Motorcycle and Tractor show will be held at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with proceeds to benefit Project Homes.
Register for the show by April 27.
