Monroe: Shuttle available for residents

MONROE - The Green County shuttle offers transportation services for seniors (age 60 and older) or disabled people of any age with pick-ups at their door.

Service is available from communities in Green County to Monroe and from Monroe to Madison and Janesville for medical, shopping, nutritional, business and personal needs.

All vehicles are walker and wheelchair accessible. The shuttle stops at the door, and drivers will help with packages.

The cost for in-county shuttles is $3.50.

Reservations for in-county shuttles are required by 10 a.m. the day preceding the scheduled trip and may be made by calling 328-9364 from all locations, 424-6007 in Belleville or 328-9463 for TDD.

The Monticello/Belleville/New Glarus to Monroe shuttle runs on Wednesdays, May 7 and June 4. Cost is $3.50.

The Monticello/New Glarus to Monroe shuttle runs on Wednesdays, May 14, 21, 28 and June 11, 18 and 25. Cost is $3.50.

The Monroe/Juda/Brodhead to Janesville shuttle runs on Thursday, May 1. Cost is $5.

The Albany/Brodhead/Juda to Monroe shuttle runs Thursdays, May 8 and 22 and June 12 and 26. Cost is $3.50.

The Monroe to Madison shuttle runs on Thursdays, May 15 and June 5 and 19, to take people to locations on the west side of Madison. Cost is $8.

Reservations may be made by calling 328-9364 between 8 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday.
