MONROE - Green County Welcome Center (the restored Milwaukee Road Depot on Wisconsin 69 south) reminds area folks that the deadline is May 31 for ordering commemorative bricks for the Pave the Way Memory Walk leading to the visitor center.

Local and area donors continue to purchase engraved bricks either as a permanent remembrance for someone or in memory of someone deceased.

Applications for engraved bricks are available at the Welcome Center. Engraving costs $50 for a two-line message; $65 for three lines. Donation proceeds help permanently maintain the Depot, the Welcome Center, the Historic Cheesemaking Center and the grounds. Donations are tax deductible. Bricks ordered by May 31 will be installed later this summer.

For further information call the Depot at 325-4636 or stop in for an application at the Welcome Center at the corner of 21st Street and Wis. 69S. Center hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through mid-November.
