MONROE - Badger Girls' State representatives for 2008 were recently announced by the Monroe American Legion Unit No. 84. Rose Wenger, of the American Legion, served as the contact person. Elizabeth Eiseman and Kelsey Duxstad were selected as delegates and Brianna Zimmerman as an alternate. The delegates will be attending the Wisconsin American Legion Auxiliary Badger Girls' State at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus the third week of June.
Elizabeth Eiseman, daughter of Lavaughn and Elaine Eiseman, is a member of National Honor Society, girls swim team, forensics and science club. Her hobbies include reading, swimming, drawing and painting, hiking and biking. Future plans are to attend a four year college in the medical field and world travel.
Kelsey Duxstad, daughter of Robert and Jennifer Duxstad, is a member of National Honor Society, AFS, Student Senate, Future Business Leaders of America, Key Club, Jazz Ensemble, cross country, track, boys basketball statistician, prom committee, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and high school Red Cross blood drive coordinator. Her hobbies include running, traveling, boating, watching movies, listening to music and hanging out with friends. Future plans are to attend UW-Madison.
Brianna Zimmerman, daughter of Brian and Cindy Zimmerman, is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Key Club, FBLA, Costa Rica Exchange, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Concert Band, prom committee, track, volleyball (co-captain), boys basketball statistician, the Revue, musical "Grease," Junior counselor Camp Wyalusing, Studio M dance Academy, Who's Who, and St. Johns United Church of Christ. Her hobbies include dance, piano, traveling hanging out with friends, watching movies and listening to her ipod. She plans to attend a four year college for physical therapy.
