Monroe: Info session about WCA virtual school is Jan. 30

MONROE - Parents of students who are looking for an alternative to their current school are invited to learn more about Wisconsin Connections Academy (WCA), the state's original K-8 tuition-free, highly accountable virtual public school, at an upcoming Information Session. The session will include one-on-one time with teachers and parents of current students, plus the opportunity to view the curriculum and sample lessons.

A WCA Information Session will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Americ Inn, 424 4th Ave. in Monroe.

The Open Enrollment Application period for the 2008-2009 school year is Feb. 4-22.

WCA opened in 2002 and currently serves approximately 390 students in kindergarten through eighth grade in communities throughout Wisconsin.
