Monroe: Health care forum is Monday

MONROE - Dr. Aaron Dunn and economist John Simonson will address the health care question at a forum 7 p.m. Monday, April 28 at the Monroe Library, 925 16th Avenue, Monroe.

Change in the health care system is coming. Wisconsin has one of the most comprehensive reform bills in the country now being discussed in Madison, but few people know about it - and even fewer know what it would mean for their businesses and families. Dunn, a Mineral Point primary care physician and founder of the Community Connections Free Clinic in Dodgeville, and Simonson, retired University of Wisconsin-Platteville economist, will talk about the pros and cons of the Healthy Wisconsin legislation and other Wisconsin health care reform proposals.

A panel of Monroe business and community leaders will share their views and join in the dialogue. With health care as one of the key issues in state and national elections, it's time to become informed about the alternatives. All interested citizens are welcome to join in the discussion.

This forum is being sponsored by Grassroots Citizens of Wisconsin and the Green County Association for Home and Community Education.
