MONROE - The Parish Mobile Food Pantry of Green County will distribute free food to low-income families from 3 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17 (the third Thursday of each month) at the St. Vincent De Paul parking lot. Dates for the next few months are February 21, March 20 and April 17.
Low-income families wishing to receive food from the Mobile Pantry should bring 2 medium-sized sturdy boxes or 2 laundry baskets in which to place the food. Distribution of the perishable food will begin promptly at 3 p.m. No pre-registration is required. Only one person per family unit is allowed.
Because of the cold weather, families are asked to remain in their cars until 2:45 then a line can form.
