MCCONNELL - A new sermon series in January at Grace Free Methodist Church, McConnell, is "Mythbusters." Come and explore various myths and statements often heard about Christianity and religion, and help determine: is it true or is it a myth.
Jan. 13, Myth: If there is a God, He's too big to care about me and my life.
Jan. 20, Myth: Christians with real faith don't suffer.
Jan. 27, Myth: A person's religion should be a private, personal issue.
Feb. 3, (Lent Begins Ash Wednesday, Feb. 6) Myth: I'm a good person. Isn't that good enough?
Feb. 10, Myth: Be careful what you pray for, you just might get it!
Feb. 17, Myth: Every religion gets you to same place. (All roads lead to the top of the mountain.)
Feb. 24, Myth: I don't need church to be a Christian.
Are these true, partly true or false. Find out at 10 a.m. Sunday mornings at Grace FMC in McConnell Come and invite a friend. Recorded copies of the sermons are available. Contact the church for more information.
