MCCONNELL - An Allis-Chalmers Jamboree is planned for July 19-20 at 8641 N. Flansburg Road, near McConnell. All models of AC tractors and equipment are invited along with other tractors as well. There will be combining, threshing, bailing, plowing and old time music, both days. McConnell Historical Society will have a lunch stand on site.
A tractor ride to Lake-Le-Aqua-Na State Park begins at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19, followed by a fabulous meal at McConnell United Methodist Church served family style. Reservations for the church meal are due July 1 and may be made by calling Lori at (815) 238-4501. Roast beef and all the trimmings will be served.
On Sunday, July 20, at 1 p.m. an auction of tractors, parts, machinery will be held. To list items, call (815) 275-5709. There will be a parade of tractors both days. Free admission and parking for all.
Directions, from Monroe: South of Monroe on Wisconsin 69 to McConnell Road. Turn right on McConnell Road, go west six miles through McConnell to Flansburg Road.
