A special tribute
Questers Memorial

Until June 2017, the graves of 39 mental health patients buried north of the Pleasant View Complex were marked only by a Roman numeral. The names belonging to those numerals were recorded in the Green County Mental Hospital, which in 1969 became Pleasant View Nursing Home. In 2016, Green County Clerk Mike Doyle began raising funds to erect a memorial with the names of those patients. Fourteen donors contributed to Doyle’s project. The Swiss Attic Fanciers Chapter of International Questers was a major contributor to this memorial marker. This Memorial Day was the first personal recognition of those unmarked graves. The Swiss Attic Fanciers placed a wreath at the memorial for the graves at the complex cemetery. Standing behind the memorial, from left, are Anita Duray, Matt Figi, Susan Becker and Lynn Lokken.
