MONROE — The Monroe Sons of Norway Lodge will meet Thursday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Union Presbyterian Church community room.
Cara Carper will speak on her School Career Exploration programs which allow high school students to work and get paid while they learn actual work skills that might lead to permanent jobs after graduation. Work places can gain new employees already train in the kind of jobs they need.
Members will also celebrate Syttende Mai, the national holiday to celebrate independence in Norway. Guests are welcome.
