MONROE — Minhas Brewery is ready to roll out the barrel for Monroe’s favorite fall festival: Minhas Oktoberfest. The weekend of activities, music, food and, of course, beer officially began 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 with a keg roll down Brewery Avenue and brewmaster Gabe Hopkins tapping the Golden Keg.

Families can enjoy a weekend filled with live music on the Minhas Mainstage (14 Avenue and 13 Street); activities such as axe throwing and a bag toss tournament; food trucks; a Bavarian-inspired menu from the Minhas Kitchen, and a traditional Oktoberfest lager brewed by Minhas Craft Brewery served throughout the venues — along with an assortment of other delicious beverages.

“We know Monroe looks forward to celebrating the season with us in our beer garden,” said owner Ravinder Minhas, “and this weekend promises to be perfect opportunity to revel in some great weather, fresh beer and good times.”

Rock Rebel Junction, TRaSh ‘80s and Shotgun Jane are set to perform on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The second-oldest brewery in the United States, the Minhas Craft Brewery (est. 1845) in Monroe produces a variety of beer styles, artisan spirits and liqueurs, and innovative beverage products using the finest ingredients, age-old techniques and modern advancements.
