GCGS to host meeting, ‘Cheese Days Through the Years’ presentation

MONROE — The Green County Genealogical Society will hold its monthly meeting Saturday, Sept. 3 at 10 a.m. The program “Cheese Days Through the Years” will be presented by Sherry Anderegg. 

The meeting will be held in the second-floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library. Visitors are always welcome and there is no cost to attend.

The program will consist of the history of Cheese Days through the years 1914-1960’s. Her power point presentation will include many old pictures from past Cheese Days events plus many stories of those earlier times. 

Sherry Anderegg is a member of the Green County Genealogical Society and the Green County Historical Society. She has been a volunteer for Cheese Days since 1984. She has been past chair of the Retail Sales Committee, the Entertainment Committee, the Housing for SwissAir Band and has been the Official Historian since 2008.
